More Insights in Stock Availability: Blocked Lots Now Allocatable in Supply Demand Management

What’s new?

A new Lot filter provider has been added to the Fulfill Demand page under the Lot Filter Set Code. This update enables you to view and allocate Blocked Lots, giving you full visibility and control over all potential supply options during planning.

Why this matters

This update enables more flexible planning by allowing Blocked Lots to be included in supply considerations. It gives planners better visibility and control, leading to smarter supply-demand decisions.

Allocated Lots Preserved When Merging Jobs

We are pleased to announce an important improvement to the Merge Jobs functionality in Agriware.

What’s new

With this release, allocated Lots are now automatically transferred to the remaining Job during the merge process. This ensures that all relevant data is preserved and no manual re-allocation is required post-merge.

Benefit for Your Operation

This update helps streamline workflows where Jobs are merged based on activities. You’ll benefit from greater consistency, faster planning, and better data integrity.

Improved Job Handling After Lot-Based Splitting in Agriware

To support workflows where Jobs need to reflect the actual material (Lot) used the Split Job on Lot Allocations has been created. To maintain full traceability, Jobs are split according to the source material (Lot) used in production. This ensures that any issues can be directly traced back to the material involved.

To support this process, Agriware now includes another enhancement, a setting that improves control over how Jobs are handled after they’re split based on Lot allocations.

New Setting: Cancel Job When Leftover Quantity Has No Lot to Allocate

Located under Agriware Setup > Production, the new setting determines what happens to leftover Jobs after using the Split Job on Lot Allocations feature on the Fulfill Demand page.

You can now choose:

  • Never – leave the unallocated Job as-is
  • Ask – prompt the user to cancel or keep the Job
  • Always – automatically cancel the Job if it has no allocated Lot

This streamlines the production process and removes the need to manually clean up Jobs that are no longer relevant.

How the Job Splitting Works

As part of this larger improvement, a button has been added to the Fulfill Demand page that allows users to split Jobs based on their allocated Lots. This function:

  • Works only with Jobs (not sales lines or other sources)
  • Splits Jobs using the base material Lot assigned
  • Proposes new Jobs with the same header as the original (quantity and properties can vary)
  • Does not retain Lot reservations to demand lines (i.e., when using “Produce for Demand,” new Jobs will not retain the original demand link)

When activated, a page will open showing the adjusted and new Jobs. The original Job is updated to reflect a reduced quantity, and the newly created Jobs inherit properties from the allocated Lots to maintain material traceability.

Benefits

  • Traceability: Track exactly which Lots were used in production
  • Flexibility: Decide how to handle remaining unallocated Jobs
  • Automation: Reduce manual effort and potential planning errors
